A W12x79 steel column connects to a steel beam with a beveled flange and a weld access hole at the top and bottom. The connection uses a 5/16 fillet weld detailed per AWS D1.8. Four 3/4-inch diameter bolts fasten the connection with a 1-1/2 inch spacing.
