A post connects to a spreader beam using three-eighths inch thick plates. The connection features three-quarter inch diameter through-bolts and vertical slotted holes allowing for adjustable movement with a maximum half-inch gap. Fillet welds of quarter-inch size secure the connection assemblies to the structural members as specified per plan.
