This structural detail shows a four-by-six wood blocking piece positioned between truss purlins over a truss girder. Two one-quarter-inch by four-inch by seven-inch steel plates are located on each side of the blocking, spaced two feet from the truss purlins and secured with two three-quarter-inch diameter through bolts at four-inch gauge. Two rows of nailing are specified at the blocking, with four lines used where nailing is staggered and six lines where three lines of nailing are required. A quarter-inch fillet weld secures the assembly.
