Concrete masonry unit walls incorporate horizontal reinforcing bars with standard hooks turned down at wall ends, jambs, and intersections. Vertical reinforcing bars are positioned at wall ends with number three horizontal reinforcing lap splices measuring eighteen inches. Eight-inch and twelve-inch masonry walls utilize grouted cells enclosing the steel reinforcement to tie structural corners and intersections together.
