Cold-formed steel jamb studs utilize a T150 profile matched to the main stud thickness and located on the opening side. The screwed option fastens components together using two number ten screws spaced at twelve inches on center. The alternate welded option provides a welded connection between the jamb members. Single jamb studs remain acceptable where permitted per plan notes, with stud sizes determined by project framing schedules.
