A 4-inch by 4-inch by 1/4-inch hollow structural section canopy frame connects to a concrete wall using a 1/2-inch by 9-inch by 10-inch steel plate anchored by four 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch long stud bolts at a 6-inch gauge. The structural connection includes a 1/4-inch fillet weld, and all welded edges are specified to be ground smooth and prepared for prime and paint.
