A concrete masonry unit bond beam terminates below an overhead concrete slab or beam with a typical top-of-wall gap. An L4x4x1/4 by 1'-3" angle is anchored to each side of the bond beam. Each angle is secured to the concrete slab or beam using two 5/8-inch diameter expansion anchors with a 4-inch embedment spaced at 12 inches on center.
