A structural steel buckling-restrained braced frame corner base plate connection features an embed plate below anchored by typical anchor rods per schedule, supplemented by four additional one-and-a-half-inch-diameter Grade 55 anchor rods. A column flange and web connect to the base plate using a complete joint penetration weld designated as CJP-DCW. Three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch horizontal stiffener plates weld to the column web and base plate with five-sixteenth-inch typical fillet welds. A gusset plate ties into the column and base assembly, welded with five-sixteenth-inch typical fillet welds.
