A column splice connection at Level 2 features a thermal break up to 3/4 inch thick. The joint uses four 7/8 inch diameter bolts arranged symmetrically around the column flanges. A beam per plan connects to the column web with a bolted shear tab. Fillet welds of 3/16 inch size are specified for connection plates. The assembly maintains a 2 foot 9 inch vertical dimension to the level datum.
