A hollow structural section beam connects to an existing concrete masonry unit block wall filled with existing or new grout. The assembly is secured using a half-inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt 3 with a two-and-a-half-inch effective embedment in existing grout, or a half-inch by three-inch anchor in new grout, placed one at each block. The hollow structural section beam features a two-inch diameter access hole for installation and hardware access.
