An hollow structural section beam frames directly into the flange of a wide flange steel column with a welded connection. The top and sides of the hollow structural section beam receive a weld indicated around three sides. A supporting angle seat is provided underneath the bottom flange of the hollow structural section beam. Further connection requirements are referenced to a typical detail.
