A structural steel column base plate plan details an eight-anchor-rod configuration arranged symmetrically around the column profile. Anchor rods include washers and are positioned with typical edge distances. A one-inch diameter grout hole is provided at the contractor's option near the center. Welds at the column flanges and web are specified with complete joint penetration welds.
