A Unistrut SPF100 channel is attached beneath a structural steel beam supporting a metal deck. A diagonal Unistrut brace connects to the channel using a 3/8-inch diameter machine bolt. The brace must be located less than 45 degrees in plan from the centerline of the steel beam, with alternative details required if this angle is exceeded. A maximum offset of 5 inches is maintained from the beam underside to the brace connection. Section A-A provides an orthogonal view of the channel profile welded or attached to the beam flange.
