Roof sheathing spans over cold-formed steel joists supported by a metal stud wall below. A bearing stiffener matching the wall stud is attached to the joist with six number twelve sheet metal screws and includes a two-inch minimum web extension fastened to the wall top track with two number ten screws. Rim blocking blocks the space between joists, secured with two rows of diaphragm boundary screws to the rim track. Shear sheathing is applied to the metal stud wall per the structural schedule.
