This concrete footing tie bridges a vertical step in foundation footings with continuous longitudinal top and bottom reinforcing bars. Transverse reinforcement and number five ties spaced at eight inches on center enclose the main bars. A two-inch clear cover is maintained throughout the stepped transition. A maximum two-foot vertical offset limits the step height in this typical configuration.
