Metal deck support and slab reinforcement occur at a hollow structural section or wide flange column. An angle of size L3x3x1/4 is provided as required to support the metal deck around the column perimeter. Deck closure to the column web is installed per the deck manufacturer's instructions at each end. Additional reinforcing bars of size number 4 are placed at the top on each side with hook ends as required, extending a minimum of 1 foot 6 inches with a typical 6 inch dimension.
