An opening in a metal deck floor assembly is reinforced with structural steel angles fastened to each low flute on each side of the opening. The assembly uses L3x3x3/16 angles secured with half-inch diameter expansion bolts having three and a half inches of embedment. Two low flutes extend past the opening on each side. Reinforcing at cores is provided to a maximum of eighteen inches.
