A concrete stair on grade bears on a foundation with a minimum eight-inch thickness and three-inch footing projection, supported on compacted subgrade. The stair slab features number three reinforcing bars at eighteen inches on center each way with a two-inch minimum clear cover, supported by concrete fill over undisturbed soil. Tread and riser dimensions are coordinated per architectural drawings, transitioning to a concrete slab with thickness determined per plan.
