A wide-flange steel column is anchored to a concrete foundation by four headed anchor bolts with oversized washers per schedule. The steel base plate rests over a layer of non-shrink grout and features a centered grout hole matching the anchor bolt hole diameter. Edge distances and bolt spacings vary depending on whether the column is a W10, W12, or W14 section. Fillet welds connect the column flange to the base plate while remaining left unwelded in the web k-region.
