Wide-flange steel beams frame into both sides of a continuous girder web using bolted connection plates sized per the schedule. The connection plates extend vertically at braced frame or moment frame girder locations, featuring stiffener plates with clipped corners to fit the column or girder k-distance. Stiffener plate welds are left unwelded within the designated k-zone. Standard clearances include a one-half inch maximum typical gap and a one-and-a-half inch minimum typical dimension from the centerline of bolts.
