Hollow structural section rail supports span between building levels, spaced at a maximum of five feet with a total span range between twelve and sixteen feet. Typical hollow structural section divider beams tie the vertical supports together at intermediate intervals. Rail brackets specified by the elevator manufacturer attach to the supports. Connections feature quarter-inch welds on near and far sides of each hollow structural section, positioned according to manufacturer specifications.
