The assembly consists of a steel beam connected to a support face via a single plate shear tab. The shear tab is welded to the support face with a 1/4 inch fillet weld, typical. The beam web is bolted to the shear tab using a quantity of A325 bolts determined by the beam depth, as specified in the provided table. Bolt spacing is set at 3 inches on center, with edge distances of 1 1/2 inches for 3/4 inch diameter bolts and 2 inches for 1 inch diameter bolts. The shear tab thickness is also determined by the beam depth per the schedule, unless noted otherwise.
