The railing is anchored to the wall using three one-half-inch diameter by six-inch long lag screws fastened into flat three-by-four wood blocking. Spacing between fasteners is divided equally along the height of the mounting member. A maximum clearance of two and three-eighths inches is maintained between the wall finish and the railing assembly.
