An air conditioning unit rests atop a custom wood leveling platform secured to a roof curb by others. The platform framing consists of two-by-six number one wood members supported in Simpson joist hangers and covered with three-quarter-inch CDX plywood sheathing. Fasteners include three-eighths-inch diameter by five-inch lag screws installed at each side of the curb, alongside ten-penny screw shank nails spaced four inches on center at edges and twelve inches on center at intermediate supports. A cant strip sits adjacent to the curb over the underlying roof sheathing.
