An L4x4x1/4 angle brace connects to the top flange of the nearest steel beam below a metal roof deck. A 1/4-inch by 5-inch by 0'-5" plate is welded at each brace with a 1/4-inch fillet weld. The assembly is skewed as required to align with the framing geometry.
