A steel brace connection frames into a hollow structural section column with a connecting steel beam. The brace features a slotted end condition, sized one-eighth inch maximum wider than the gusset plate thickness. Three seven-eighths inch diameter A32N bolts fasten the steel beam connection plate. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths inch size secure the gusset assembly to the structural column at the working point.
