A chevron bracing arrangement connects to the underside of a steel beam through a gusset plate of specified thickness. The corebrace attaches via bolted lug connections on each brace member. Fillet welds secure the gusset plate assembly with typical sizes indicated on the drawing. A work point is established at one-half the nominal depth of the beam.
