Cold-formed steel studs connect to the bottom chord of a steel truss with a deflection track fastened by two quarter-inch by three-inch self-drilling screws at sixteen inches on center. The truss bottom chord supports acoustic decking and is secured with two three-and-a-half-inch metal screws at twenty-four inches on center with pre-drilled holes at standard beam gauge. The assembly aligns below a grid line per architectural drawings.
