Cold-formed steel ceiling joists bear onto an interior stud wall where framing members are aligned in common. A continuous track matching the joist depth and gauge caps the wall studs and connects with two number 10 screws at each joist. For joists over four inches deep, an additional vertical four-inch by twenty-gauge web stiffener is provided at each joist and fastened with four number 10 screws.
