A wide-flange or hollow structural section column sits on a steel base plate anchored to a concrete footing with anchor bolts sized per schedule. The base plate and anchor assembly is embedded with a concrete fill having a minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi up to a maximum height of 1 foot 6 inches. Exterior pavement per architectural drawings finishes above the concrete fill with a 3-inch minimum clearance around the column. Reinforcement and footing dimensions are sized per schedule with a minimum 12-inch anchor bolt embedment.
