A two-inch thick foam pad is placed directly against the bottom of the grade beam directly above the pipe. The pipe, having a diameter designated as D, maintains a vertical clearance of less than twelve inches from the bottom of the grade beam. The foam pad extends outward by a distance equal to the pipe diameter plus six inches on each side, with a maximum total width of twenty-four inches. This assembly provides necessary clearance and compressible material protection for utilities running beneath structural grade beams.
