The steel joist bears onto an embedded steel plate measuring 1/2 inch by 12 inches by 1 foot 4 inches, anchored into the concrete tilt-up panel with four 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch heavy stud anchors. A joist bearing assembly consisting of an L5x5x3/8 angle, 8 inches long with two 1/2-inch stiffener plates, supports the joist. A 4-inch by 3/8-inch plate connects across the panel joint utilizing one 3/4-inch diameter A325 bolt in a long slotted hole parallel to the tilt-up panel to accommodate movement. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch and 5-inch sizes secure the steel components together at the bearing interface.
