A hollow structural section column of size 4x4x1/4 connects to a base plate secured by three-quarter inch diameter by six-inch long anchor bolts spaced at twelve inches on center. A four-inch by four-inch by three-eighths-inch angle measuring six feet in height embeds into the concrete. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld joins the base plate and structural steel elements.
