Premolded joint filler separates adjacent slabs-on-grade at an expansion joint, maintaining a half-inch gap over thickened slab edges. Each slab contains a continuous number four reinforcing bar running parallel to the joint. A second detail features the slab-on-grade terminating against a building wall, footing, or curb with a half-inch expansion joint.
