This connection details the interface between a metal roof deck supported by steel joists and a concrete tilt-up wall panel. The bridging attachment consists of an L3x3x1/4 angle matching the joist depth, secured to the tilt-up panel with two 1/2-inch diameter by 4-1/4-inch Kwik Hus-EZ anchors or equal. The joist bridging and its connections are provided by the joist supplier. Horizontal panel reinforcement includes one continuous number 5 bar minimum at the joist bearing elevation. Per Steel Joist Institute requirements, the bottom horizontal bridging must be installed horizontally as shown rather than angled upward toward the deck bearing.
