An aluminum rectangular tube column is welded to a 1 3/16-inch thick aluminum base plate using a 1/4-inch fillet weld, sized per plan. The base plate is secured with four 7/8-inch diameter by 10-inch embedded stainless steel anchor bolts. The entire assembly bears over a 1-inch thick layer of non-shrink grout.
