The face of the concrete steps shall be cast directly against undisturbed earth. If the excavation ravels, the space must be backfilled with concrete when the footing is cast. The step configuration maintains a maximum height of two feet with a two-to-one horizontal to vertical ratio minimum. Reinforcing steel is placed within the concrete section according to the specified dimensions.
