An HSS hanger and an inclined HSS brace frame into a horizontal structural steel beam via a one-quarter-inch plate slotted through the hollow structural sections and centered on the members. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld secures the connection assemblies. Erection bolts are provided as required at the hanger and brace reference elevations with specified minimum clearances and dimensions. A stop plate is positioned at similar conditions.
