This structural plan detail shows a steel column set within a concrete footing pocket surrounded by a control or construction joint. The base plate and anchor bolts are sized per plan inside the footing pocket. Number 4 reinforcing trim bars are centered around the perimeter with a typical six-inch minimum dimension and two-inch clearance. Infill concrete is cast only after the column base plate has been grouted. Control joints or construction joints are detailed per sheet reference 14/S3.23.
