A reinforced concrete elevator pit section features a slab on grade transition. Pit walls integrate number six bars each way, each side unless otherwise noted, tying into the foundation mat with standard development length hooks. A one-quarter inch amplitude roughened construction joint is specified at the concrete shear wall connection above the pit slab. The pit depth measures seven feet one inch from the top of the lower slab to the garage level reference line, with exact dimensions subject to verification with the elevator manufacturer.
