This structural section detail shows the connection of a concrete slab over metal deck to a wide flange beam at a future slab transition. A continuous plate sized 1/4 inch by 4 inches is welded to the beam and slab edge to receive the future pour. Number 4 reinforcing bars measuring 2 feet 6 inches in length are installed through holes in the vertical plate during a future construction phase. Deformed bar anchor size and spacing are referenced from sheet S6.03.
