A roof truss and beam bear upon a structural steel support aligned with a grid line. A one-half-inch thick plate matching the flange width is welded to the supporting steel with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on both the near side and far side. Roof deck sized per plan bears over the framing assembly, secured with edge detail ED-1. Open-web joists and trusses are spaced and sized per plan.
