An existing anchor bolt is removed by drilling out the steel and coring the surrounding concrete to a diameter slightly larger than the bolt. If spalling occurs around the edge, the hole is enlarged to clean edges and patched with rapid-setting floor repair material finished flush with the existing top of slab. The drilled hole depth is maintained at a minimum of the existing anchor bolt diameter plus one-sixteenth of an inch. The repair surface must be clean and free of laitance immediately prior to installing the repair material.
