A continuous bent plate edge form sits over the top flange of a structural steel beam, with plate thickness sized per the overhang table. The metal deck bears on the steel beam with a one and a half inch minimum end bearing, positioned relative to the steel beam web. Where the deck is flush with the edge, a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld is specified at sixteen-inch intervals. Where the deck overhangs, a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld is specified at twelve-inch intervals.
