A concrete beam is reinforced with top, bottom, and shear reinforcement specified per the structural schedule, supplemented by additional skin reinforcement along the sides. Alternate cross ties provide confinement within the section. A concrete slab frames into the beam where indicated on the plan. The bottom corners of the beam feature a one-inch chamfer.
