A hollow structural section column base plate is anchored within a concrete footing blockout. The assembly features a base plate sized per schedule atop a concrete footing with a minimum six-inch dimension and a blockout extending one foot minimum typically. Number four dowels spaced at twelve inches on center are positioned typically around all four sides of the column. Continuous slab reinforcement or two number five minimum trim bars are detailed at the top of the slab, with slab reinforcement sized per plan. The top of the footing and bottom of the footing are located per plan.
