A diagonal brace connects to a wide-flange column and wide-flange beam intersection at a designated work point in plan view. A three-eighths-by-four-inch plate and structural angles are welded with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds to transfer lateral loads into the framing. The vertical legs of the angle below are trimmed for proper clearance at the connection. The members are sized per the structural plan.
