A hollow structural section column bears on a base plate secured to a concrete foundation with anchor bolts extending one foot minimum into the concrete. The top of the hollow structural section column connects to overhead steel framing with a one-quarter inch fillet weld. A secondary hollow structural section member ties into the framing assembly as sized per plan. Field connections are detailed per sheet reference four.
