An HSS parapet column is welded to a base plate secured by four five-eighths inch diameter welded headed studs. The base plate assembly connects to a supporting concrete element reinforced with a number four by two-foot long deformed bar anchor. A structural steel beam is positioned below with a two-inch minimum clearance.
