A wide-flange beam connects to a supporting wide-flange girder using connection plates sized per schedule with bolted web connections. Five-eighths-inch web plates attach to the opposite side of the connection plate. The stiffener plate is clipped to fit the girder k-distance, and welding is omitted in the designated zone. Three-quarter-inch and one-half-inch fillet welds secure the plates as specified.
